BJaMs World hits Justin.tv and Twitter!

Alright, I decided that I couldn't find any free, high quality ways to record my video game footage, so I went out and made a purchase yesterday!

I bought the Diamond VC500  video capture card (I was lucky and Micro Center had it on sale for $29.99) and 3 RCA Y Adapters (from best buy- mine are black, but do the same thing as the linked ones- for $3.99 each).  If you need instructions on how to set this up, please email me!

This allows me to record my video game systems and post them on YouTube, or even to stream to my justin.tv stream in very good quality.  I checked out the Dazzle DVD Recorder and the Diamond VC500, and for the price, I really couldn't see how the Dazzle was better because the VC500 is equal in quality, if not a tad higher.  Admittedly, the software that comes with it is not very good, and I decided to stick with Windows Movie Maker to edit my gameplay footage.

Anyway, with that mini-review out of the way, it's on to BJaMs World updates.  I decided to delve into the world of twitter!  You can follow me, Psymin, and all the BJaMs Worlds up-to-the-minute updates on Twitter, and I will do the same by following you.

I am proud to announce that I have streamed my very first Justin.tv live video game feed last night, with a playthrough of a 50cc Grand Prix on Mario Kart Wii (where I finished in 1st place).  I had, at times, 1 viewer (besides myself), so there's really no place to go but up!  In reality, this was just a test run to see how it would work.  For some reason, it only allows to stream in "good" quality, not "best", but it was still a decent stream.

On the YouTube front, you can check out some test videos for the Diamond VC500 with a couple minutes of Goldeneye (Nintendo 64) and Mario Kart Wii.

Right now, I have inFAMOUS on the screen in front of me, so I am going to start playing that (with no recording be done just yet).  I will keep you guys posted on my status in the game shortly.

Alright, here's a quick breakdown of the BJaMs World links listed above (because there was a ton of 'em):
