Madden NFL 10 (360)- Dallas Cowboys Press Release- Romo No-Mo'

    TONY ROMO NO MO'

The Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo are parting ways. This after a three week long Quarterback controversy in the city of Dallas. Romo, who started off the season very hot, has gone on to throw nine interceptions in, what has proven to be, his last three games as a Dallas Cowboy. Jon Kitna has stepped up in his role and lead the Cowboys to a 5-0-0 start this season (in Romo's defense, Kitna didn't play in games 1 or 2 this year). Because of Romo's inconsistency, Kitna has proven that being a veteran quarterback in the NFL means a lot (throwing 4 touchdowns with just 1 interception).

The move had been rumored for a couple weeks now, but the final blow came when Romo threw his ninth interception on the opening drive against a very lackluster Kansas City Chiefs defense. Kitna was immediately put into the game, and the Cowboys went on to dominate with a 34-3 win (only the second time this season that Cowboys have won by more than 3 points). Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said the following: "After Tony went out there and gave away the ball after the defense stepped up big, right then I knew Romo wouldn't be putting on a Cowboys jersey for a very long time". He went on to say "Tony is an excellent ball player who has just not lived up to his potential as an elite quarterback in this league. It's not completely his fault- maybe he just needs a different team around, a different coach, a different city to finally find that spark. I wish him the best of luck, where ever he ends up."

And that's the big question- where will Romo finish off the rest of the season? Well, rumor has it that the Cowboys have already proposed a trade to the Miami Dolphins. Here are the details that we have so far:

    Cowboys Receive:
    QB Chad Pennington
Undisclosed Player (sources are pointing at possibly a wide receiver)

    Miami Dolphins Receive:
    QB Tony Romo
    Undisclosed Player

Who these undisclosed players are has yet to be seen. We will let you know as soon as the news gets out, however. According to sources, you can expect the trade to happen within the next couple of days. Be sure to check back here with the latest breaking news regarding Tony Romo and the new Dallas Cowboy's quarterback.

Notes: When Phillips was asked if Kitna would be starting Week 6, Phillips replied "Jon Kitna is the best backup quarterback in the league, and that's all I will say about that."

(Also note- this press release is a work of fiction regarding my Madden NFL 10 Online Franchise. Don't worry Cowboy fans- Romo isn't going anywhere.)
